Child died in kindergarten after poisoning with insecticide

An incident occurred on August 28, 2026, confirmed by the press service of the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Tashkent region. A three-year-old boy, born in 2023, entered the kitchen of the state kindergarten No. 6 in Ahanagar, where his grandmother worked as a cook from an outsourcing company. There, the child drank the left-over insecticide, after which he was hospitalized in the city medical association.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, on the eve of the incident, disinfection was carried out in the auxiliary premises, and the remaining composition was not removed for storage in the established order. The Akhangaran Prosecutor's Office initiated a case under Part 3 of Article 116 of the Criminal Code (improper performance of professional duties, resulting in the death of a person through negligence). The status of the suspect was received by the employee-disinfectant.

The authorized agencies continue to clarify how the pupil ended up in the kitchen without supervision, for what reason the chemical was in the access zone, and who was responsible for its storage.
