In mahallas of Uzbekistan, the "3–30–300" greening standard will be introduced

The standard means three trees per person, 30% shade from the crowns and a green zone within a radius of 300 meters in each mahalla. By 2030, the number of green gardens and public parks is planned to be increased to 1023, of which 257 will be created in autumn 2026. In each district and city, there will be at least five shady walking streets with a total length of at least 10 kilometers.

From October 1 to November 30, areas for planting will be identified, the soil will be prepared, and a reserve of seedlings will be created. Canals, collectors, and public territories will be cleared of garbage. The plantings themselves will start according to the schedule: November 1 - Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, November 5 - Bukhara and Navoi regions, November 10 - Tashkent, Andijan, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Namangan, Tashkent and Fergana regions, November 20 - Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions. The Ecological Committee has the right to change these deadlines.

From January 1, 2027, as part of the "Yashil Mahalla" project, the "Mahalla Greening" package will be launched. The Forestry Agency will assign a mentor-forester to each mahalla, from whom members of the "mahalla seven" will learn before each planting season.
