Uzbekistan Clarifies Procedure for 30% Discount on Contract Education for Children of Pedagogues

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has clarified the procedure for a 30% discount on contract education for children of pedagogues. The discount of 30% on tuition fees applies to children of specialists from the approved list of pedagogical positions, including employees of private schools, kindergartens, and universities. This was explained by expert Khushnudbek Khudoyberdiev.

The right to a 30% discount is granted to children of workers whose positions are included in the list of professions related to pedagogical activity, registered by the Ministry of Justice on June 9, 2026, under number 3849. This list includes 465 positions, including kindergarten teachers. At the same time, the discount also applies to employees of non-state educational institutions - private kindergartens, schools, and universities. The discount is not provided to children of university tutors and teachers of educational centers, as these positions are not included in the approved register.

The discount will also be received by students studying on incomplete grant conditions: 30% of the discount will be applied to the remaining 50% of the contract part. If a family has already paid for the 2026/2027 academic year in full or in part before the decision was made, the overpayment can be returned or credited towards the next academic year.

Applications will be submitted through the kontrakt.edu.uz platform. Currently, technical work is underway on the resource, and the launch of the process is expected approximately within one week. The application for the discount must be submitted by the student themselves, not their parents.
