Over $2 bln invested in New Tashkent in three years

The head of state noted that the private sector is connecting to the construction of New Tashkent more slowly than the existing opportunities allow. According to him, the state is investing significant funds in the infrastructure, stadium, university and library of the new city. A total of 20 thousand hectares of land have been allocated for the project, and construction work is currently underway on more than 1,000 hectares, mainly at the expense of state funds. At the same time, entrepreneurs have been allocated 94 hectares of land.

In the first stage of the project, it is planned to develop 6,000 hectares with the implementation of projects worth $50 billion. The President added that together with the new airport, the investment potential of the territory can reach $200 billion.

During the open dialogue, issues of business related to the allocation of land plots, obtaining permits and payments are also being considered. The press secretary of the President, Sherzod Asadov, said that after the meeting, the head of state is expected to take part in the opening of some new facilities and the laying of others.
