In Uzbekistan, the procedure for purchasing liquefied gas will change from 1 November

From 1 November 2026, Uzbekistan is introducing a new system for purchasing and supplying liquefied gas to the population through a separate exchange trading platform. This was announced by Akmal Dzhuraev, head of the relevant department of Hududgazta’minot JSC.

To implement the mechanism with the participation of Hududgazta’minot JSC, LPG-Trade LLC is being created, which will start purchasing liquefied gas for the population through a special exchange platform, and if necessary, through open trading. The difference between the regulated retail price for the population and the justified expenses for delivery will be covered at the expense of the republican budget.

In the upcoming heating season of 2026-2027, it is planned to deliver 325.7 thousand tons of liquefied gas to consumers. Of this amount, 8.2 thousand tons will be directed to 104.7 thousand subscribers in 229 remote villages and auls. By the start of the season, 93 gas filling stations have been prepared, and a reserve of 24 thousand household cylinders has been created in the regions.

According to the company, currently, more than 3.73 million households and about two thousand social facilities are supplied with liquefied fuel. In January-September 2026, consumers received over 398 thousand tons of gas. In the Andijan region, a pilot project has also been launched to attract private operators to deliver imported liquefied gas in cylinders.
