In Altynkul District, a shoe complex is being created for $28 million

In the course of his trip to Andijan Region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the work of the leather and footwear small industrial zone in Altynkul District. The complex occupies an area of 10.1 hectares, of which 5.5 hectares have already been built with production facilities, trading platforms and a dual education center. The total project capacity of 17 productions is estimated at 150 billion soums.

Out of the declared enterprises, ten are focused on shoe and sole production, two specialize in the production of artificial leather, and two more produce shoe glue. The remaining facilities are designed for the production of leather, rubber shoes and upper elements for special shoes. 2,500 jobs have already been created at the industrial zone's enterprises, with specialists trained in Turkey, China and Italy being involved in the work.

Finished products are exported to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Entrepreneurs in the industrial zone are provided with support: production buildings, erected at their request, are sold on installment plans for up to seven years.
